Can the Point of Entry Safety Light be added to existing fans?

The Safety Light can not be added to existing fans because, unless the light was selected at the time of order, the engine will not have the internal power supply necessary.

The optional articulated Top Safety Light (also referred to as the POE Light for point of entry) is available at the time of order on GX-series VENTRY Fans. GX-series engines are available with or without an alternator to power the light. If the light is not chosen as an option at the time the order is placed, an engine without the alternator is used. GX-series engines with this power supply are significantly more expensive than those without, which is why the Safety Light option is priced as it is. We have gotten terrific feedback from customers who have the light and it is proving to be very, very useful. We believe the value of having the light when you need it is appreciated long after the price is forgotten.

For more details on the light, please see our Options page.
