Do I need wheels on my fan?
Pneumatic (air-filled) tires can be better than solid rubber wheels on rough terrain, however, there are some trade-offs. Solid rubber wheels (transparent polyurethane wheels with ABEC-5 bearings) will never go flat, take less space, and cost less.
Regardless of whether you want solid or pneumatic wheels, the important thing with PPV fans is to have any kind of wheels if you can afford them and have the space, so that you can transport the fan effortlessly with one hand.
While recommended, wheels are not absolutely necessary on VENTRY Fans. All VENTRY Fans include dual side handles which allow for one or two people to carry it when certain terrain makes wheels impractical.
Our 20-inch fans are small enough to be easily carried by one person. However, even on smaller fans, wheels are helpful in situations where tools must also be carried while moving the fan AND when it is clean-up time and the adrenaline is gone!
NOTE: Large Pneumatic tires are BIG. You must carefully measure your compartment and make sure the fan fits before ordering.
Can I add wheels to my existing fan?
Only in rare cases will wheels retrofit. Please contact us to discuss.
