Point of Entry Safety Light

Honda GX-series VENTRY Fans are available with an optional 12-volt Articulated Light for point of entry (POE) lighting. Self-contained, waterproof, and powered by a small alternator in the GX-series engines, it provides instant light when the fan starts, right where it’s needed, before, during, and after operations.

It aims in any direction and folds down when not in use, adding nothing to the fan’s storage dimensions, and takes firefighter abuse. (It is a rugged light, covered under the five-year parts and workmanship warranty). This is a tremendous safety feature for fire fighters as a point of entry light, lighting the scene before entry, lighting the exit on the way out, and lighting the fan itself during rapid departures!

The light provides 100 watts of power on the GX200 fan and 50 watts on the GX160 and GX120 models. Note, the Safety Light is not an add-on to existing fans, as the engine itself must be selected with the internal power supply at the time of sale (see FAQ).

Do not worry about breaking the light - it will stand up to firefighter use and abuse and is covered under our five-year warranty!

Wheels & Folding Tow Handle

Solid Rubber Wheels & Folding Tow Handle, which is one option on many VENTRY Fans, now includes Razor® Wheels, as shown in the middle left photo. These are transparent polyurethane wheels with ABEC-5 bearings. This is a significant upgrade to the original black rubber wheels, which have been discontinued. Click here for the press release.

Wheels and a Folding Tow Handle make transport even easier and increase maneuverability of the fans. The wheels do not touch the ground when the fan is in operation, so stability is not compromised. The wheels are available as either solid rubber or 8-inch pneumatic.

Solid rubber wheels and the folding tow handle are standard on the 24-inch Honda GX-200 and the 24-inch Kohler CH6 models. Pneumatic wheels are only available on 24-inch models and are standard on the propane-powered fan.

Spark Arrester

The Spark Arrester fits just inside the muffle. It captures sparks, preventing any from exiting the motor during operation. Spark Arresters (also spelled spark arrestors) are required on all engines operated in national parks within the United States.

Digital Tachometer and Hourmeter

Tachometer

The digital Tiny Tach is a tachometer and hourmeter. It tracks hours and RPM, allowing for performance report, diagnostics and maintenance scheduling. Complete details are available at www.tinytach.com.

Filtered Misting Ring Kit

Our fan’s water Misting Ring Kit is filtered! Tiny impurities in water supplies can render most misters useless very quickly, but a 22-micron filter (right) on ours flushes clear with the turn of a switch. Retrofits to any fan with a guard. Click here for photos and more details on the misters.

Safety Propeller

Unique to VENTRY Fans, and included on every model, our Safety Propellers hold the secret to high CFMs and are a combination of state-of-the-art proprietary technology and good old-fashioned hand craftsmanship. Available in either 20- or 24-inch sizes and for a range of engine horsepower. The propellers may be purchased for use on other fans, but the fans must be able to handle the thrust produced. More...
