BID SPECIFICATIONS FOR VENTRY ELECTRIC FAN, MODEL 20-E1.5GFCI

1. Fan shall have a 1.5 horsepower three-phase electric motor.
2. Fan shall be compatible with ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCI).
3. Drive/controller (inverter) shall be supplied by 110-115V (+/-10%) single phase with 0 to 230V three phase output to the motor, with a variable speed output of 0 to 3600 RPM (0 to 60 Hz).
4. Fan shall be available with a choice of plugs, including locking Nema plug L5-20 (standard) and nonlocking Nema plug 5-20.
5. Fan current shall be limited to 20 amps or less, even at start-up (no initial power spike).
6. Fan shall have a tripod frame with three independently extendible, adjustable legs making it capable of rising at least 14 inches above the ground in order to allow aiming of the air stream over obstacles such as residential entry steps.
7. Fan shall be able to be placed on stairs or uneven ground and shall be capable of straddling 12-inch high ground debris.
8. Fan shall be capable of fitting in a compartment measuring 24 inches high by 24 inches wide x 21 inches deep before options are added.
9. Fan shall weigh less than 72 pounds before options are added.
10. Fan shall produce at least 12,000 CFM verified by a thrust value of 9.3 pounds or more.
11. Fan shall have a fail-safe 20-inch, two-blade, aircraft-style propeller consisting of a vibration-dampening wood core with pressure-bonded, quadruple-layer fiberglass and Kevlar® outer structure.
12. Fan shall have a free-flowing wire guard which excludes objects larger than a 1/2-inch probe.
13. All electrical components of the fan shall be UL listed (Underwriters Laboratories) and CSA listed (Canadian Standards Association).
14. Fan motor shall be covered under Baldor Electric Company’s eighteen month warranty, fan drive under KB Electronics’ 18-month warranty, and all other components under Ventry Solutions’ five-year warranty.
15. Fan shall come with one Ultimate Door Stop which can be used in at least four different ways to hold a door open at a 90° angle.
16. Fan shall be available with the following optional components:
    • Solid Rubber Wheels and skids which includes two 5-inch diameter polyurethane wheels with ABEC-5 bearings, two powder-coated steel stair skids located on the front of the fan which allow for easy sliding of the fan up and down stairs/curbs, and a handle that moves straight up and down from the center of the fan.
    • Small Pneumatic Wheels and skids which includes two pneumatic tires that are air-filled and measure 6 x 1¼ inches, two powder-coated steel stair skids located on the front of the fan which allow for easy sliding of the fan up and down stairs/curbs, and a handle that moves straight up and down from the center of the fan.
    • Low-pressure water Misting Ring Kit with a flushable 22-micron filter and four adjustable nozzles. The Misting Kit must operate at pressures up to 200 psi.
