Uses for VENTRY® Fans

Some more applications we have heard of for our portable, gas and electric fans being used:
- Provide fresh air during crime scene investigations and at unattended deaths. A couple sheriffs have reported VENTRY Fans are life-savers (no pun intended) at such situations.
- Industrial Cleaning and Ventilation. Top 3 photos at right. VENTRY Fans can be used to blow dirt and dust out of any confined space. (See photos below of a 1993 model VENTRY fan cleaning out a UPS truck). We also use a VENTRY Fan to clean out our office about once a year and our big main bay when we do not feel like sweeping.
- Hazmat Ventilation / Meth lab cleanup. Fans are used to quickly and thoroughly ventilate and clear toxic fumes and hazardous chemicals at methamphetamine labs so investigation and cleanup can occur sooner and safer.
- Drying and flood cleanup. After a flood, VENTRY fans will circulate vast amounts of fresh air to expedite the drying process.
- Stump Fan / Brush Fan / Brush burning and Slash Burning. Brush Fans When clearing land, VENTRY Fans are great for accelerating burning. They are aimed at a brush pile to accelerate the burn rate. We were told that in Puget Sound, all land clearing requires a fan for ventilation. VENTRY Fans make great Stump Fans! Click for more info.
- Agriculture - Frost Fans. For circulating air on farms and orchards to prevent frost kill. (A related application has been to help dry crops).
- A fish processing plant in Alaska uses the fan for burning garbage. A sawmill in Western Washington uses a VENTRY fan to keep fires going (they are near soggy Seattle). Lots of landscapers, greens keepers and homeowners with large projects are using the fans for controlled burning. Fans models with wheels are great for this, as burning usually occurs on rough terrain or off-road.
- Smoke-removal systems for large buildings. An inexpensive alternative to built-in smoke-removal systems, a few VENTRY Fans can provide protection to large structures such as malls and warehouses. In a demonstration at a multi-million-cubic-foot shopping mall in Seattle, six VENTRY Fans removed smoke in the same amount of time but much more thoroughly than a $250,000 mobile ventilation unit (MVU). $12,000 worth of VENTRY Fans saved the mall developers from having to install a built-in smoke removal system or having to pay six figures for a mobile ventilation unit for their local fire department. See some of the details here.
- Drying mine tailings and removing fines.
- Quickly refresh stagnant air at scenes where decaying corpses have been found after long periods of time. (For this use, police, fire, and rescue personnel have been extremely grateful.)
- Special effects - including blowing confetti at parades and creating wind (mild to heavy) in movies!
We would love to hear how you (safely) use your VENTRY Fan(s)! Please call us or e-mail. |

VENTRY Ventilation Fans can be set up on any terrain, so hills, mud, rocks, water and stairs are no obstacle! Perfect for any odd application where you need a lot of air in a hurry.
ZERO EMISSIONS: Offering very high air volume and velocity but no emissions at all, electric VENTRY Fans may be used in ways gasoline-powered models can not. Possible applications include confined space rescue, ventilating large structures like submarines and factories, and dust control.
