What if I have trouble with my LENTRY unit?
If your generator does not start easily or stay running, please check the gasoline! Gas that has been in the unit for more than 6 months may not work well. Try new/fresh gas (high octane is recommended). Then, run the generator at least 10 minutes to get all the old gas out of the fuel system. For normal maintenance, we recommend you run the generator once a month, for a minimum of 15 minutes; it needs to be run long enough to get the carbon burned out! Note: Honda recommends adding fuel stabilizer to any gasoline which will be stored longer than 90 days.
If your generator runs and stalls, check to see if the fuel vent lever on top is aligned properly with the ON mark. If lifted slightly while turning it to ON, it is possible to go too far. Move the lever back and forth between ON and OFF to make sure the vent lever lines up properly.
Of course, we are always eager to help if you have any trouble. Please call toll free at (888) 257-8967. We want to know if you encounter any problems; feedback helps us to make the best equipment possible and we want to make sure every customer is completely satisfied. We are often near the phone even outside of normal hours and will do our very best to solve any issues you might have as quickly as possible.
How do I get replacement bulbs?
We keep a few replacement bulbs in stock for immediate shipment. Click here for parts and pricing.
FYI, as a backup on the 650 watt Hi-IR bulbs, standard 500- or 750-watt halogen bulbs can be used. We are not aware of an adequate substitute for the 1500W bulb, but can ship one to you in a hurry. Give us a call or send an email.
