The four photos above and two scans below are used with the permission of Deputy Chief Brian Bailie.

Thank you to Deputy Chief Brian Bailie and his colleagues at the St. Francois Xavier Fire Department in St. Francois Xavier, Manitoba, Canada for sharing these photos of their two Dual LENTRY Units in use at a motor vehicle accident early in 2010. Brian explained that when they arrived on scene, from approximately one hundred feet away the first responders were unable to see the accident (above two left photos)! The car had come to rest far off the road, in the ditch, and the night was very dark. After turning on their LENTRY units, the scene was transformed and it was like working in daylight, for they had lots of light from multiple directions (above two right photos).

Regarding how much light the LENTRY units provide, Chief Bailie compares the leftmost photos (taken from in the ditch toward the road above) to those on the right (after deployment of the lights). “I always say its literally, a night and day comparison. And where would you like your crews to be operating in, left or right?”

The photos above are taken from the composite scans below. All eight photos are scans of printed pictures and have not been adjusted. Click the thumbnails above or below to open larger views (not in consecutive order). Use your Back button to return here.

Very knowledgeable dealer, Craig Bentley of First Alarm Fire Sales in Texas, shared these photos with us. Craig took some photos of his LENTRY System which he used during an extrication class he taught. The unit Craig shows in these photos is a LENTRY with the EU1000i Honda generator and standard height 650W Light. Thank you, Craig!

LENTRY Generator with Legs - Charging the Fire Boat Battery

Our own James and Ken responded to an emergency call on Hauser Lake and found that the battery on the fire boat was not strong enough to turn the engine over! They quickly employed a LENTRY unit and charging cable (optional accessory), and were able to recharge the battery enough that it started the boat. Only a few minutes were lost and they were on their way. Click the thumbnails below for larger pictures.

In this instance, a LENTRY with the EU1000i generator was used. The light was not needed so had been disconnected and left behind. This reduced the weight and allowed James to get just the generator-with-legs to the boat faster.

James and Ken get the cables connected to the battery. It takes a few minutes before the battery has enough juice to start the motor - and they are off!

The search turns out to be a false alarm, but James, Ken, and the Sheriffs involved, made it to the local newspaper, the Coeur d’Alene Press (pdf file of the article will open).
