Thank you to Deputy Chief Brian Bailie and his colleagues at the St. Francois Xavier Fire Department in St. Francois Xavier, Manitoba, Canada for sharing these photos of their two Dual LENTRY Units in use at a motor vehicle accident early in 2010. Brian explained that when they arrived on scene, from approximately one hundred feet away the first responders were unable to see the accident (above two left photos)! The car had come to rest far off the road, in the ditch, and the night was very dark. After turning on their LENTRY units, the scene was transformed and it was like working in daylight, for they had lots of light from multiple directions (above two right photos).

Regarding how much light the LENTRY units provide, Chief Bailie compares the leftmost photos (taken from in the ditch toward the road above) to those on the right (after deployment of the lights). “I always say its literally, a night and day comparison. And where would you like your crews to be operating in, left or right?”

The photos above are taken from the composite scans below. All eight photos are scans of printed pictures and have not been adjusted. Click the thumbnails above or below to open larger views (not in consecutive order). Use your Back button to return here.

Very knowledgeable dealer, Craig Bentley of First Alarm Fire Sales in Texas, shared these photos with us. Craig took some photos of his LENTRY System which he used during an extrication class he taught. The unit Craig shows in these photos is a LENTRY with the EU1000i Honda generator and standard height 650W Light. Thank you, Craig!

Jim Hogue of First In, LLC in Louisiana shared these photos with us. Jim has a Dual LENTRY System on his rescue tool trailer which he often uses during rescue tool demonstrations. The generator/legs/base portion is mounted near the rear of the slide-out (see above two pics) and the two XT polelights are held on the other side of the slide out/divider (shown at right). Jim often does evening demonstrations, the most convenient time for many volunteers and other firefighters. The LENTRY Light runs quietly in the background as he talks about the tools. The unit pictured here is a Dual Light Lentry with an EU2000i generator and two 650W extra tall XT lights. Customers are surprised at how much light it provides: 25,000 lumens from each of the 650W lights, compared to 10,500 lumens from a comparable 500W light! This system provides 50,000 lumens of light all together and the lights may be aimed in opposite directions. Thanks to Jim and First In for letting us share these images! Courtesy First In, LLC

Jim Hogue of First In, LLC in Louisiana shared the above photos with us. This may be the most unusual application we have seen so far: a Dual LENTRY System used to power the margarita mixer and provide lighting to an area during Mardi Gras! The one light (of two) on this LENTRY unit that is lighting the scene is cropped out of the first picture, but all light is from it. With two outlets, a light can be on and something else can be plugged in to the other (like a blender!). Jim reports that the LENTRY is very helpful at Mardi Gras and his application demonstrates how useful LENTRY units are for providing light AND power when no other power source is available. What uses can you think of? Send us an email (or photo)!
