Examples of applications/uses we have heard about:
- Energy companies and utility crews use them for remote maintenance and nighttime emergencies.
- Utility companies and road crews also use them to light flaggers (XT lights especially suited for this application)
- Lighting up the Flagger at nighttime motor vehicle accident (MVAs) scenes. Imagine turning the scene from night to day - how much easier a flagger is to see and how much safer they become!
- Cemetery lighting for grave sight preparation in the evening/night and illumination of evening graveside events
- Heating an airplane hangar
- Incident Command Post Emergency Power - lighting the communication center and running a few radios (EU2000i with a 650W light)
- Calving light (lightweight EU1000i model)
- Hobbies - RC Aircraft enthusiasts use an EU1000i for remote power at airports.
- Amateur videographers keep one in the trunk for light on-the-spot when events take place at night. Quietly running in the background.
- Construction crews being able to work into the evening hours during winter (as James Neils is seen doing at right using an EU1000i with 650W hi-IR light).

When James developed the first prototype, he took it to the fire station for ice training one winter evening. He started it up (an EU1000i with 650W hi-IR light) and set it off to the side to light the scene and keep the coffee pot going. At first he was a bit disappointed because as all the training went on, noone really seemed to notice as the LENTRY light filled in all the long, high-contrast shadows cast by the other trucks and equipment on scene. But luckly, James had not remembered to add much gas before the event and it ran out. The second the LENTRY stopped producing all that light -- THEN everyone noticed!
This is an essential safety product for people who work or respond in the dark to remote locations. AND for those who like hot coffee, even when they’re “roughing it!”
